Hi all, I've already read the other threads related to this floppy drive, and my problem stems from even earlier in the process than the other guys (Yes, I have been able to get it out of the box) Also yes, I do actually have a use for floppy disks even in 2011. Who knew the government would still rely on these things. My laptop is an ASUS G73Jh i7 1.73 GHz with 6 GB ram 64 bit Home Premium, ATI HD5870. Purchased in Nov 10 So far I've tried all 4 USB ports and no acknowledgment whatsoever from windows. I've tried re-booting with the drive plugged in, and with blank and not blank disk inserted.
